Step 1: Apply for Admission to a UK University

To apply for a UK student visa, you need a valid passport or travel document, a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from your university, proof of finances (such as bank statements or financial sponsorship letters) showing sufficient funds for tuition and living expenses, tuberculosis (TB) test results if applicable, academic qualifications and transcripts listed on your CAS, proof of English language proficiency (e.g., IELTS or TOEFL results), a passport-sized photograph, confirmation of payment for the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS), a completed visa application form, biometric information (fingerprints and photograph), and, if you are under 18, a parental or legal guardian consent letter along with proof of your relationship (e.g., birth certificate). Additionally, you may need an Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) certificate if your course and nationality require it. Ensure all non-English documents are accompanied by certified translations.

You may also need to show proof of your student accommodation in the UK, whenever you are asked.
