    1. Ghost Palace Hotel

The Ghost Palace Hotel is located 50km north of Kuta, and was once a luxury resort, but now stands abandoned in the mountains of Bedugul.

Its construction began in the 1990s, but the project was mysteriously halted, leaving the hotel unfinished unknowingly.

Since then, here’s a story on the Ghost Palace Hotel that it is haunted by the spirits of the workers who died during its construction.

Many paranormal activities are reported by its visitors like strange noises, ghostly shadow appearance, and a sense of being watched by someone.

The hotel’s halls and empty rooms create a haunted atmosphere, making this place one of the top Bali haunted places.

Despite its haunting tales, the Ghost Palace Hotel attracts many brave explorers. If you dare to visit, it’s best to go during the day and of course, stay in groups for safety.

    2. Gala Gala Underground House

Located on Nusa Lembongan, the Gala Gala Underground House is a unique haunted place.

Built entirely by hand by a local farmer named Made Byasa, this underground labyrinth was inspired by an ancient Indian epic–Mahabharat.

The house has narrow tunnels, chambers, and dark corners, making it a scary place to explore.

Visitors often feel a chilling presence and hear whispers echoing through the tunnels. Some even claim to have seen shadowy figures moving around.

Gala Gala Underground House is not just one of Bali haunted places but also a living evidence of human creativity.

When you visit, you’ll witness the details and craftsmanship of this place while experiencing the horror vibes

    3. Pura Goa Lawah

Pura Goa Lawah is a sacred site in Bali with dark and is surrounded by mysterious stories.

This temple, located in Klungkung, is one of Bali’s nine directional temples and is believed to protect the island from evil spirits.

According to local legends, the cave inside the temple extends to the Besakih Temple, located on the slopes of Mount Agung.

Some also believe that a mythical giant snake—Naga Basuki, resides within the cave and guards a hidden treasure.

Visitors to Pura Goa Lawah often report a sense of unease and an overwhelming smell of bat droppings.

The temple is also home to thousands of bats, which adds an extra horror feature to this place.

The temple’s haunting legends, combined with the presence of the bats, make it a must-visit for those interested in Bali haunted places.

    4. Lost Plane, South Kuta

In the middle of a field in South Kuta, there’s an abandoned airplane, a Boeing 737, which has become one of Bali’s most haunted attractions.

How this plane ended up in such a location remains a mystery with numerous rumors and ghost stories.

Some locals believe the plane is haunted by the spirits of those who perished in tragic accidents.

Visitors often feel someone’s presence and hear scary noises coming from within the plane.

The rusted outer body of the plane and overgrown surroundings make this place look even more haunted.

Exploring the Lost Plane offers a unique and thrilling experience. While it might seem like a stunning spot to visit, its haunting stories and the mystery surrounding it make it a fascinating destination for Bali ghost towns enthusiasts.

    5. Desa Trunyan: The Silent Village

Desa Trunyan, located on the eastern shore of Lake Batur, is one of Bali ghost towns.

Known for its unique burial practices and ghostly atmosphere. Unlike typical Balinese cremation rituals, the people of Trunyan put the dead bodies in bamboo cages under a sacred tree known as the Taru Menyan.

The tree is believed to absorb the odor of decay, keeping the village free from the smell of death.

The sight of skeletal remains makes Desa Trunyan a scary and unsettling place, maybe exciting for some people.

Many visitors have felt an unknown presence and reported seeing ghostly figures in the village. The village is really silent which is why, it is also known as “The Silent Village.”

Visiting Desa Trunyan requires a boat ride across the lake. For those fascinated by unique burial traditions and ghost stories, visit this village and explore the unexplored ghost stories from the locals.

    Conclusion:

Exploring Bali ghost towns and haunted places is not a joke. It is advisable that you visit these places during daylight or with experts.
